Cancellations & Refunds
Last updated: 03 November 2026
Life happens, and plans change. Here is how cancelling works, so you know where you stand before you book.
1. Cancelling a session or workshop
- When you cancel any time before 42 hrs the event: you get a coupon for the same amount, to use for another session.
- Tickets are transferable if you cannot make it but not refundable.
- No show-ups: You don't show up and didn't let me know. No coupon
- To cancel, email me hello@gabrielacortez.nl with your name and the session you booked. The date I receive your email counts.
- I don't give money refunds when you cancel. When a refund is due (for example when I cancel a session), it goes back to the payment method you used, within 14 days.
2. About coupons
-
A coupon is worth what you paid and can be used for any session or workshop I offer.
-
It's valid for 12 months from the date it's issued.
-
You can give it to someone else. Just tell me their name and email so I can welcome them.
-
If the new session costs more, you pay the difference. If it costs less, the rest stays on your coupon.
3. Sending someone in your place
Can't make it? You can always pass your place to a friend, at any time before the session starts, at no cost. Let me know who's coming.
4. Multi-session programs
For programs with several sessions (for example a 4-week series or the 6-session PIEM program):
-
Cancel before the first session: a coupon for the full amount.
-
Stop after the program has started: you receive a coupon or a refund (your choice) for the sessions that haven't taken place yet. Sessions you missed while still enrolled are not refunded.
5. Online live sessions
The same rules apply as for in-person sessions. If the session can't go ahead because of a technical problem on my side, I'll reschedule it or give you a full refund.
6. Free events
There's nothing to refund, but please cancel if you can't come. Groups are small, and your spot can go to someone on the waiting list.
7. If I change or cancel a session
If I cancel, or change the date, time or place in a way that doesn't work for you, you choose: a full refund or a place in another session.
8. Sessions booked through a partner venue
When you book and pay through a partner venue (such as a yoga studio or café), the venue handles cancellations and refunds under its own policy. Feel free to contact me if you need help sorting it out.
9. Why there's no 14-day cooling-off period
Online purchases usually come with 14 days to change your mind. Sessions booked for a fixed date are a legal exception (leisure services on a specific date), so the cancellation rules above apply instead. Booking a coupon or a session without a set date does keep the 14-day period.
10. Questions
If your situation doesn't fit these rules, write to me. I'd rather find a fair solution with you than hide behind a policy.
